Whenever you book a cab with Ola or Uber, it has become common for drivers to call and ask for the drop location and payment mode. Drivers are canceling the trips on various reasons and are keeping the passengers stranded. With the issue becoming rampant, Ola has come with a solution for it.
Going forward, the driver partners will be shown the destination and payment method right on their apps. They can accept a ride only if they are okay with it. So there will be no instances of cancelation after accepting. But one is not sure if this solves the problem.
Drivers cancel riders in far off locations and airport trips because they feel they are not compensated by the company when their is no chance of Return Trips. Also, the company takes lot of time to settle the payments of the drivers. Cash only trips will solve this issue. So, this solution of Ola is more of a stop-gap measure but does not solve the problem permanently.
