The city of Hyderabad hadn't been able to make the most of the free vaccine scheme launched by the central government due to various factors. However, with vaccines slowly reaching the bottom half, GHMC has finally found its way through this to help people avail themselves of the vaccines for free.
The GHMC is now administering vaccines to everyone through its unique mobile vaccination system. It is an idea that is working exceptionally well for the municipal body as they struggled throughout with their various schemes and ideas. This one is undoubtedly doing the trick.
The GHMC and the health department have set up a good number of 75 mobile vaccination centers deployed across the city, especially in the slums. This mobile vaccination ensures that people with their second dose due get their jab of covid immunity. The locations of the vans and vehicles will be GHMC community/multipurpose buildings, government schools, colleges, GHMC parks, and other such open spaces under the municipal body, and the government and the healthcare workers present in the above locations will help in the Cowin registration.
The secretary of Municipal Administration and Urban Development(MAUD), Arvind Kumar, took to Twitter to share some pictures of the ongoing mobile vaccination and shared that if a locality has more than 100 people to be vaccinated. Then, a mobile center will come to that locality by calling them on 040-21111111 or reaching out to them on GHMCOnline on Twitter.
