The recent movie Sherni is earning quite the fame as it depicts some of the realities of the villages near tiger reserves and how tiger population reduced and things related to governing these areas. However, the makers of the movie starring Vidya Balan are now gearing up to face a legal battle that the shooter raised due to the cinema depicting twisting of specific facts regarding the killing of tigress Avni.
Asghar Ali Khan is the shooter who shot down Tigress Avni in Maharashtra's Yavatmal in 2018 and is not happy with the term "trigger happy shooters" being depicted in the film. Tigress Avni was a man-eater and killed nearly 14 people before Ashghar hunted it. But the movie showed that the hunter's sought pleasure. The shooter is the son of famous shooter Nawab Shafath Ali Khan and is quite disappointed by the reply by the filmmakers regarding the legal notice of the same sent to them. So he has decided to move up further and is consulting legal advisers.
The filmmakers differed from this notice and clarified that the movie is fictional and does not depict Asghar Ali or his father. However, Asghar Ali has pointed certain similarities from the film in real life, mainly because the movie has Vidya Balan as an officer. The real-life scene also had a lady officer. The shooter, who is quite famous and known by the forestry and government for his multiple operations, is not willing to back down as the whole movie is manipulating various facts and somehow tarnishing his reputation of his father's reputation.
Sherni is now running on Amazon Prime and is immensely loved by people. Still, the controversy is slowly spreading, and people are giving this allegation on the film thought and trying to understand the actual thing.
